The Grands Appartements

The Grands Appartements ticket admits visitors for a self-guided visit, with the provision of a free audio guide for paying visitors. This tour includes the Papal Apartment, the Renaissance Rooms, the Chapel of Saint Saturnin , the sovereign Grands Appartements, the Diana Gallery and the Napoleon I Museum.

Full price : €11. Concessions : €9.

The Petits Appartements

Full price : €6.5. Concessions : €5

The Appartement des Chasses and Furniture Museum

Full price : €6.5. Concessions : €5

These three areas are only accessible via escorted tour.
Visitors who buy an escorted tour ticket can purchase a reduced-price ticket for the Grands Appartements tour.

Escorted Tour – Fontainebleau during the Second Empire

Full price : €15.50.

The ticket to this escorted tour also allows access to the Grands Appartements tour, with provision of a free audio guide for paying visitors.

Tours – Studios (2 hours, for children, outside school hours)

Full price : €15.50. Child concessions : €8.

Tariff for groups of twenty or more paying visitors to the Grands Appartements tour

The Grands Appartements ticket admits visitors for a self-guided visit, with the provision of a free audio guide for paying visitors. This tour includes the Papal Apartment, the Renaissance Rooms, the Chapel of Saint Saturnin, the sovereign Grands Appartements, the Diana Gallery and the Emperor’s inner apartment.

Price (no concessions) : €9

Adult conferences

- period of 1 hour 30 mins : full price : €190. Concessions : €160
- period of 2 hours : full price : €260. Concessions : €215

This does not include access to the Grands Appartements tour. Conference subjects are shown on the château website ; other subjects may be available on request.

From March 1st to October 31st, a booking fee of 30€ will be invoiced if the group comes with its own guide.

Schools Programmes

- Conference visits : €65
- Studio tours : €90/ €100/ €110 (prices vary depending on choice of studio tour)
- Château day pass : €80

The following groups are eligible for free access to the Grands Appartements tour, on presentation of the relevant ID :

- under 18s ;
- long-term EU residents of any nationality, aged 18 to 25 ;
- registered disabled persons or war veterans (plus personal assistant) ;
- those receiving those receiving minimum pension payments, single parent benefit, jobseeker’s allowance or similar welfare payments ;
- Pass Education holders ;
- university and art school students ;
- public museum scientific staff, Ministry of Culture and INHA (Institut national d’histoire de l’art) staff ;
- journalists with a valid press pass ;
- conference speakers and tour guides ;
- ICOM and ICOMOS members ;
- bus drivers accompanying groups ;
- school tour guides/assistants (limited to one per seven students)
- members of the Société des amis et mécènes du château de Fontainebleau (SAMCF).

The following groups are entitled to free entry to escorted tours and workshops on presentation of the relevant valid ID (excluding those escorted tours and workshops specifically aimed at these age groups, for which the full price applies) :
- under 18s.

Concessions are available for the Grands Appartements tour for the following groups, on presentation of the relevant valid ID :

- large families ;
- European non-residents aged 18 to 25
- visitors paying admission fees with holiday cheques, whether individually or as a group ;
- RMN loyalty card holders ;
- visitors paying the admission fee for a conference or workshop ;
- Paris-Visite train ticket holders ;
- France-Montgolfières hot-air balloon ticket holders, departing from the Château de Fontainebleau.

Concessions are available for escorted tours for the following groups, on presentation of the relevant valid ID :
