The Jardin Anglais

A garden planted with pine trees under Francis I, the Jardin Anglais took its current form under the First Empire when it was designed by architect Maximilien Hurtault. Its abundant vegetation lends romantic appeal to this garden, with each twist and turn leading visitors through exotic trees, sculptures and enchanting features such as fountains, a river and grottoes.
