The Jardin de Diane

On a more modest scale than other gardens around the château, the Jardin de Diane was originally Catherine de Medici’s own private garden. Unde the First Empire it was transformed into an English-style garden whilst retaining its intimate character. In addition to its collection of rare trees, the Jardin de Diane features a surprising sunken fountain, dedicated to the goddess of the chase from which the garden takes its name.
