The Opening of the Napoleon I Museum

Opened in 1986, this museum was initially arranged over two floors, in the place of former princes’ apartments in the Louis XV Wing. Following a burglary in 1995, the collections were regrouped on one floor. Visitors can therefore now view a condensed collection of these priceless furnishings, paintings, arms, objets d’art, gold and silverware, ceramics, costumes, documents and historic records.
