This French-language catalogue was published for the exhibition Jérôme Napoléon Roi de Westphalie presented at Château de Fontainebleau in France until 8 February 2009. At the time when Napoleon dominated the European scene, the Bonaparte brothers and sisters who had a throne played a decisive role in the broadcasting of a particular French model. The Westphalia kingdom (1807 – 1813) was ruled by Jerôme Napoleon, who is a perfect illustration of this. The relations between France and German countries at this turnstile period of their respective histories are the framework of this biography of Jerôme Bonaparte. More than the adventures of this younger brother, the book reveals an episode of the Franco German relations whose heritage is still relevant today. The park and gardens are open, under the usual conditions, free of charge.
