From June 26 to June 29, 2025, the enchanting setting of the Château de Fontainebleau park will become the beating heart of the international music scene for the 45th Django Reinhardt Festival !
On the program:
Over 100 artists will take the stage across two venues during four days and four nights, celebrating the musical legacy of France’s greatest jazzman.
Over the course of these four exceptional days, enjoy an eclectic soundscape blending tradition and modernity, from the Django stage to the Luthiers’ stage. A true delight for music lovers and the perfect way to welcome the first glimpses of summer.
Headlining the festival are some living legends, including the master of jazz fusion discovered in the early ’80s by Miles Davis: bassist Marcus Miller ; the most famous Malian singer, Salif Keita, returning with a new album; and the incredible Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés.
Prepare to be captivated by extraordinary voices, such as multi-Grammy-winning Cécile McLorin Salvant, the soulful Adi Oasis, queen of the four-string bass, and the warm, melancholic voice of AYỌ, who already enchanted us in the summer of 2021.
Expect explosive and festive performances, featuring the electro-swing energy of Deluxe, the brass-infused Afrobeat of Kokoroko, the ethio-jazz and hip-hop fusion of Arat Kilo, now joined by singer Mamani Keita, and the guardians of New Orleans funk : Galactic.
We love him, and so do you! This year, we are delighted to give carte blanche to a festival regular and dear friend, the charismatic Thomas Dutronc, returning two years after his stunning trio performance.
Of course, to truly celebrate the spirit of Django Reinhardt, we have carefully selected artists who keep the master’s legacy alive—those who honor and transcend his timeless influence.
We are thrilled to welcome, among others, a super trio featuring guitarists Biréli Lagrène, Ulf Wakenius, and Martin Taylor; double bassist and guitarist Edouard Pennes with his project dedicated to the music of Charlie Parker, featuring special guest saxophonist Giacomo Smith; the Stochelo and Mozes Rosenberg Trio; and the Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra, blending gypsy jazz with Balkan influences in a rhythmic explosion.
Also joining the lineup is the Django Festival Allstars, who have been bringing Django’s legacy to life on world stages for over 20 years !
