To help you get the most out of your visit, the château offers a selection of interpretation tools: A video guide for adults and children, a HistoPad for the Chinese Museum and a smartphone app to guide children in the footsteps of Napoleon I.
The video guide takes you on an audio tour, with additional visuals and commentaries about the rooms and the art works.
Available in 11 languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Dutch and Polish.
A version for 7-12 year olds is available in French, English, German, Spanish and Italian.
A new device to help you discover the Chinese Museum: the HistoPad, a touch pad that uses augmented reality, 3D and geolocation. The HistoPad is an interactive way explore the collections on show and objects which have disappeared, and shows how some of the main rooms would have looked in their original décor from the Summer Palace in Peking. It also offers a virtual tour of Empress Eugenie's Salon des Laques.
