The only indoor toilets in the Chateau are located at the end of the tour.
(Other toilets are accessible from the main courtyard to the right of the ticket office.)
Free lockers are available to leave pushchairs, child carriers, bulky bags, umbrellas and other items prohibited during the visit. The Establishment cannot be held responsible in the event of theft of valuable objects left in the lockers.
For preservation reasons and safety, bulky pushchairs and child carriers are not allowed when visiting the Chateau.
Front worn baby slings are available at the cloakroom in addition to buggies.
Changing tables are at your available in the women’s toilets.
Pets are not allowed in the gardens and the courtyards of the Chateau. Service dogs are allowed.
A lift provides access to the Grands Appartements for people with reduced mobility.

The Château de Fontainebleau has several take-away options in the Fountain Courtyard, as well as a restaurant and a café.
Restaurant: the restaurant Les Petites Bouches de l’Empereur offers various options for lunch in the heart of the Chateau. You can also take advantage of its terrace for a gourmet break facing the Grand Parterre.
Café: The Café des Mariniers invites you to discover its range of hot and cold drinks, as well as its homemade verrines, to be enjoyed on its terrace with a breathtaking view over the Etang aux Carpes.
Picnic: Picnics are only allowed on the lawns in the Jardin Anglais and the park, and on the benches in the other gardens and courtyards.
The Chateau shop is located to the right of the Horseshoe Staircase. It is open to all during the Chateau’s usual opening hours.
Photography is authorised in the courtyards, gardens and interior spaces of the Château de Fontainebleau during the opening hours of the estate.
We remind you that it is forbidden to

- use a selfie pole in the indoor areas;
- use camera stands and camera stands;

Wedding photos are allowed in the courtyards and gardens at the Château de Fontainebleau free of charge during the estate’s opening hours.
