What’s the European Night of Museums?
The European Night of Museums in France is organised by the French Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Regional Directorates of Cultural Affairs (DRAC). It benefits from the patronage of UNESCO, the Council of Europe, ICOM France and the support of many media and institutional partners.
This event allows the public, of all ages and backgrounds, to visit more than 3,000 museums in France and Europe free of charge, in the evening and in a festive atmosphere.
On this occasion, museums offer a different opportunity to discover their collections and temporary exhibitions. Invited from a very young age to see cultural establishments with a new eye, the public will be kept awake by new tours, guided tours, open-air entertainment, live shows, music, culinary art, screenings and other unusual festivities.
