Strollers
For conservation and safety reasons, bulky strollers and baby carriers are not permitted on the castle tour route.
Front carriers and lightweight strollers are available at the cloakroom.
Breastfeeding & diaper changing
A changing table and a breastfeeding area are available near the restrooms, accessible from the Cour d’Honneur.
These facilities are located outside the main tour route; you can access them from the Cour d’Honneur before or after your visit to the interior of the Château.
Visiting
For the interiors, we offer the web-based tour application, with its games, videos and quizzes, to discover while having fun : Don’t forget to bring headphones and fully charge your device before your visit.
Drink & Eat
The Château de Fontainebleau offers a takeaway service in the Cour de la Fontaine, as well as a restaurant and a café.
Restaurant: Les Petites Bouches de l’Empereur restaurant offers various lunch options in the heart of the château, including children’s menus. You can also enjoy its terrace for a delicious break overlooking the Grand Parterre.
Café : Le Café des Mariniers invites you to discover its selection of hot and cold drinks, as well as light snacks, to be enjoyed on its terrace with a breathtaking view of the Carp Pond.
Picnics: Picnics are permitted on the lawns only in the English Garden and the park, and on the benches in the other gardens and courtyards.
We invite you to come to the chateau without a suitcase or a large bag; These are not allowed inside the estate.
Only luggage not exceeding the maximum dimensions (55cm x 35cm x 20cm) is admitted; It must be deposited in a locker after having been checked.
